Restoring Forest Landscapes: A "Win-Win" for People, Nature and Climate outlines key messages for policy makers, synthesizing major lessons learnt from a recent review of the state-of-the-art scientific knowledge on the climate benefits of forest landscape restoration (FLR).
The key messages from IUFRO's analysis of literature and restoration case studies from various regions of the world are intended to support more informed and inclusive decision-making. Ideally they will help policy makers to shape an enabling policy framework and institutional environment conducive to FLR implementation, so as to better enable people in the long-term to cope with the challenges of a changing climate.
