Biography

Dr. Hodabalo Pereki is a Botanist with special interest in forest biomass modeling coupled with GIS and Remote Sensing data. He is member of the Laboratory of Botany and Plant Ecology at University Lomé (Togo). Hodabalo's background is Botanist, with an MSc in Botany from University of Lomé (Togo) and a PhD in Plant Ecology and Modelling within the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) full PhD-scholarship at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (Germany). He has experience in GIS & Remote sensing, Modelling. Forest biomass estimation, Ecosystem services and Biodiversity conservation. He participated in several conferences and workshops in Benin, Burkina Faso, France, Ghana, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Tanzania, Togo and USA. Dr. Pereki has authored and co-authored more than ten publications in peer-reviewed international journals and books. Currently he is exciting about how key indicators could affect forest biomass and carbon stocks dynamic in various ecosystems in Togo.
