PROMOTION OF TERMINALIA BROWNII PROPAGATION FOR AGROFORESTRY, LIVELIHOOD IMPROVEMENT AND RESILIENCE TO CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE DRYLANDS OF KENYA

Biography

I am a hold of a Master degree in Agricultural Resource Economic and Management of Moi University and currently pursuing a doctorate degree at Kenyatta University. I am a research scientist in natural resource economics and Regional Director, Dryland Eco Region Research Programme-Kitui of the Kenya Forestry Research Institute. I have widely published and undertaken research in Turkana, Marsabit, Wajir, Mandera, Garissa, Kitui, Makueni, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Taita Taveta, Tana River and Baring Counties covering gums and resins, invasive Prosopis juliflora, Aloe species and Melia volkensii. Currently, I have research interest in Termnalia brownii.
