Biography

Martin NGANJE, Ph.D., is a forest resource management and conservation development planning professional with over 20 years of work experience in West and Central Africa. In addition to environmental program formulation and implementation, I have been involved in the coordination of forestry and related development policies. I have also supervised international consultants on field research related to forest fire management, biological and socioeconomic guidelines for new non-timber forest products, development of a forest dialogue in West Africa, development of guidelines (principles) for forest landscape restoration in Africa and more. I have personally led research on how useful Traditional Ecological Practices can be determined and streamlined unto conventional forest management and conservation policies and programs.
