  1. A study of traditional uses, ecology, conservation status, genetics and phyto-chemistry of Boscia coriacea (pax) an important medicinal plant in Kenya.
  2. A study of Reproductive biology, phenology and genetic diversity of Osyris lanceolata Hoscht and Steudel (East African Sandal Wood) in Kenya.
  3. Genetic diversity, population structure and growth related traits of the African catfish, Clarias gariepinus (Burchell 1822) in Kenya
  4. Generation of male sterility in finger millet (Eleusine coracana L. Gaertn) using ethrel to ensure hybridization and production of hybrid cultivars.
  5. Screening for Striga resistance and molecular characterization of finger millet (Eleusine coracana L. Gaertn) germplasm in western Kenya.
Biography

I teach forest genetics, conduct research mainly on genetic diversity of natural forest populations and have publish extensively in international journals and heave also traveled widely attending conferences.
